The Boro are yet to accept and recognize the importance of Latte Lath's goals in their promotion bid.
The 26-year-old joined Boro from Italian side Atalanta and has scored ten goals in 26 games this season.
The Ivory Coast international is open to a move to the United States but was expected to move to a Premier League team this summer.
Atlanta United make bid of up to £20m for Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath
Leeds United, Ipswich Town and West Ham have been interested in the Ivorian striker
Ipswich Town failed in their bid to sign Latte this summer, while West Ham want a striker amid injuries to Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.
Graham Potter confirmed that £27million summer signing Fullkrug striker, who missed three months earlier in the season with an Achilles problem, appears to have suffered another serious injury following Friday's FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa.
“It's a pretty bad hamstring when he gets up like that, so it's a concern for us,” Potter added. 'We need to evaluate it. “Crysencio (Summerville) stopped a little bit, we didn't think it was worth the risk to continue.”
The Hammers boss also admitted that losing two key forwards to injury could mean the club have to turn to the transfer market this month, but was not carried away by rumors linking the club with a move for the fallen forward. Manchester United's misfortune, Marcus Rashford.
“We have to look at the extent of the injuries and how long it will take for the guys to get back,” Potter said. 'We don't know the extent. If they come out, it is something we have to analyze.
'I used to say this about 20 months ago, I only comment on players who are West Ham players. Sometimes things written in the newspapers are not always true and one can get tangled up confirming and denying everything. It's about the group doing well collectively. There is no shortage of talent in this club.”
Leeds, meanwhile, will hold a recruitment meeting on Monday to assess the strikers, but a rival offer of £20m may be out of reach in this window despite their desire to earn promotion this year.
