Mohamed Salah has provided an update on his contract situation at Liverpool, as he nears the end of his contract.
The 32-year-old is yet to sign a new contract, with his current one expiring in the summer of 2025.
He contributed to Liverpool's 5-0 thrashing of West Ham on Sunday by scoring his 17th league goal of the season, as well as providing two assists.
Salah has so far contributed 30 goals in just 18 league games this season, and another stellar performance helped extend the Reds' lead at the top of the table.
After 18 games played, Arne Slot's side are eight points ahead of Nottingham Forest in second place with a game in hand, and nine points ahead of Arsenal.
After Sunday's game, Salah revealed that negotiations are “far” from positive at the moment and insisted he is focused solely on Liverpool's objectives on the pitch this season.

The 32-year-old is the Premier League's top scorer (17) and assists (13) this season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk's deals will also expire in the summer of 2025.
“No, we are very far from that,” Salah told Sky Sports, when asked if there are any positive updates on the situation.
“I don't want to put something in the media and have people start saying things, but nothing has really moved forward.”
“But for now I'm focused on the team and I hope we win the Premier League.
“I will do everything possible for the team to win the trophy. There are some other teams that are catching up with us and we must stay focused and humble and go again.
'I'm just trying to enjoy the game. “In the end I came here because of the result and I wanted to do something in the game, but I'm almost hungry for more.”
The Egyptian sent Reds fans into a frenzy last month when he claimed he had not been approached about a new deal.
Since then, Salah has remained tentative with his words on the situation and recently refused to divulge the current state of negotiations when asked on Boxing Day.
“I want to say (to the fans) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” Salah told Amazon Prime on Thursday. “And I'll see you at the next game here.”
