UFC superstar Conor McGregor took his work in the Octagon to the football field, as he played for his pub's football team on Saturday.
He took part in a Premier Division clash between Black Forge FC and Harding FC in the United Churches Football League (UCFL), which ended in a 1–1 draw.
The 36-year-old wore his team's number 11 shirt, named after their pub, the Black Forge Inn, and lined up on the left wing.
Black Forge FC sit second in one of Irish football's many amateur league rankings, having won four of their seven matches so far this season.
McGregor surprisingly lashed out at one of his opponents during the game after losing possession. The Irishman received a heavy touch after trying to control a loose ball and was subsequently dispossessed.

Alongside a photo of him posing with the FAI Trophy won by Drogheda United in November, McGregor wrote: “How much does it cost to buy a League of Ireland team? I could buy two.
