The Detroit Lions' recruiting campaign appears to have paid off after the mother of a 31-pound baby committed her son to the NFL team.
'Dibs,' the Lions wrote on TikTok after Madison Peltzer's clips of her 'chubby' baby went viral on social media.
The mother posted a response to the team in another video, telling the Super Bowl hopefuls: '@Detroit Lions, give us a few years and we'll get there.”
One of Peltzer's videos garnered over 10 million views on Tiktok, where she revealed that her six-month-old son is in the '99th percentile for everything' regarding his weight.
She previously revealed that her son is exclusively breastfed and weighed just 9lb 2oz at birth.
After his response to the Lions went viral, NFL fans joked that Peltzer should honor the Lions' word when the baby grows up.

“That's in writing, it's a contract lol,” said one. “I would present it as evidence,” added another. 'Don't accept nonsense!'
A third said: “I would save this video and then show it to him as soon as he turns 18… everyone said yes.”
The Lions finished the season with a 15-2 record and hope to reach the Super Bowl after losing the NFC championship last year.
Their postseason journey begins Saturday when they host the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
