Luka Doncic's Dallas home was allegedly burglarized on Friday.
NBA journalist Marc Stein quoted Doncic's business manager, Lara Beth Seager, as saying: “No one was home at the time and fortunately Luka and his family are safe.”
“Luka has filed a police report and an investigation is underway.”
It marks the latest installment in a worrying trend of elite athletes being targeted, and Stein said the NBA sent out a warning after several NFL stars had their homes burglarized.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were attacked in their Kansas City homes earlier this year, along with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
The Mavericks star is currently injured with a calf problem, but his team would play on Friday night against the Phoenix Suns.
Kelce's $6 million mansion was broken into by burglars in October and the Super Bowl winner reportedly lost several prized items.
That included $100,000 in jewelry, $20,000 in cash, his first Super Bowl jersey and a watch that has since been found in Rhode Island.
The FBI continues to investigate the case and Kelce, who was said to be “upset and angry” at being robbed, responded by beefing up security at his home amid a warning from the NFL that a South American criminal gang could be behind the case. that several players were attacked.
