Tyreek Hill is accepting comparisons to Antonio Brown after reportedly quitting on his Miami Dolphins teammates during a season-ending loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.
Hill, who has battled wrist problems this year, did not play in the fourth quarter of Miami's loss to New York. The Dolphins needed a win and a Broncos loss over the Chiefs to sneak into the postseason, but Denver defeated Kansas City's backups, 38-0.
Later, when asked if Hill was unavailable because of his wrist, McDaniel seemed to imply that the receiver was refusing to play: “I was informed that he was unavailable right before a play. I was not informed that it was a new injury…There were guys on the field that were competing, we were trying to win a game.”
While Hill claimed, “Coach kicked me out,” he ultimately made his feelings about the Dolphins clear by telling reporters that he's “out” of Miami.
The situation is reminiscent of Brown's with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers three years earlier. After arguing with coaches over his refusal to return to a game against the Jets, Brown abandoned his teammates by removing his jersey, helmet and pads on the way to the locker room. Brown has not drawn any interest from NFL teams since the incident.
Now, after being benched during Friday's loss, Hill changed his X profile photo to the famous image of a shirtless Brown running off the field at MetLife Stadium in January 2022. Only instead of the face with Brown's scowl, Hill had her own Photoshopped profile picture. above that of the former Bucs star.

'So the guy won't play another game in the NFL?' asked a fan on X, where there was a massive response. 'Well.'
“He's a clown,” another critic added of the former Kansas City Chiefs star. “I never should have left KC.”
Several questioned whether Hill is still attractive to NFL teams, given his behavior.
“Will any team with a winning culture see this and care?” asked a fan.
Others laughed at Hill's nod to Brown, while many more used the post as an opportunity to recruit the All-Pro to their favorite NFL team.
Hill finished the season with 939 receiving yards, falling short of 1,000 for the first time since 2019 as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed six games with injury.
He is under contract through 2026 with the Dolphins after signing a restructured three-year, $90 million deal before the 2024 season.

The speedster Hill recorded a career-high 1,799 receiving yards under McDaniel last season.
After that exchange, Hill claimed that Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was more accurate than Chiefs quarterback three-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes, adding that he and his family They would be happier in Miami than in Kansas City.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith recalled those comments on Monday.
“To hell with no,” Smith said indignantly of Hill. “Keep your butt there.”
“Life is a little different when you're not with Patrick Mahomes,” Smith continued. 'We tried to tell you. We don't want to hear about any family now. You have your bag. That's not family, brother.
The family is the bag. Once you receive the bag, the family will be in charge. “It's about you recognizing that life is a little different when Patrick Mahomes doesn't throw you the ball.”
