New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has announced his engagement to his childhood sweetheart, Ann Michael Hudson.
The couple has been dating for nine years and shared the news on their Instagram accounts.
'I love living life with you. I can't wait to marry you!' the quarterback wrote in his post.
The couple celebrated their ninth anniversary at the end of October. Hudson marked the occasion with a slideshow posted to her Insta account.
“9 years with you and it keeps getting better every day,” Hudson's caption read with a heart emoji. 'I couldn't imagine my life without you as my best friend. I love you more than you know!'
Maye and Hudson met in high school, began dating then and throughout high school, and even attended the same college: the University of North Carolina.

Hudson is currently double majoring at Chapel Hill, studying entrepreneurship and conflict management, according to his LinkedIn page.
Meanwhile, Maye left UNC after just three years there and headed to the NFL, where the Patriots selected him third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
After then-head coach Jerod Mayo opted for veteran Jacoby Brissett at center for the first few games of the season, Mayo eventually handed the reins of the offense to Maye.
Maye compiled a 3-9 record while leading a struggling, underpowered New England offense that lacked skill at most key positions.
He finished his rookie campaign by starting 12 games, completing 225 of 338 passes for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns and ten interceptions.
