The former NFL star betting, Chris Kluwe, was dragged outside the California Council meeting by the police after comparing Donald Trump's supporters in Maga with the Nazis.
Kluwe, 43, played for several teams until he retired in 2013, making a name to defend same sex marriage and be frank against religion.
The betting and video game fan, who describes himself as a 'problematic' extraordinary 'in Bluesky, spoke at the Huntington Beach meeting against a plaque in front of the city library.
The plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the library, which describes itself as 'magical', 'attractive', 'galvanizing' and 'adventurer', which one next to each other, spells Maga.
The plaque also uses slogans that become famous for Barack Obama: “Through hope and change, our nation has become better to the golden age of making the United States great again!”
Kluwe was not humorous to unify the feeling with respect to the plaque, which was approved by the Council unanimously, while heading to them.
While I had no problem with the plate, I could simply bear using Trump's phrase.
He said that Maga represents everything, from 'trying to erase the trans people of existence', re-regrettiation and racism ', “censorship and prohibition of books” to “shoot air traffic drivers while the airplanes are colliding.”

The former player also said they were about to shoot the nuclear arsenal supervisors and shoot military veterans and cuts to education.
Kluwe added that the movement was “corrupt, unmistakably antidemocracy and, most importantly, Maga is explicitly a Nazi movement.”
He finished saying: “It is possible that you have replaced a swastika with a red hat, but that is what it is.”
The former Vikingo of Minnesota said he was “participating in the American tradition of peaceful civil disobedience” and advanced a few meters towards the Council.
Then he was arrested and dragged quickly by multiple police, according to the Oc register.
Kluwe spent about four hours in police custody that night and spoke favorably about the officers in an interview explaining their actions the next day.
“This was not done with the intention of changing the mind of the advice, because I don't think those minds can be changed,” Kluwe said.
'It was made so that the people who are observing and the people they will see understand that this is important enough for those who arrest it. That it is important to stand up and tell the truth to power and do it in a way that other people can emulate. '

He added that the plate was simply a “propaganda” that would make people feel unpleasant in the library.
“It is assumed that a public library is cozy for anyone who wants to enter and see a book and learn,” Kluwe said.
'And so, this attempt to politicize it with an explicit magic reference in the plaque shows that they do not care about the public library. They care to make a propaganda statement.
Kamala Harris defeated Trump in the 2024 elections in the city of Orange County for approximately two points, although the victorious Senator Adam Schiff lost the city to former baseball player Steve Garvey.
During his NFL days more than a decade ago, Kluwe was already in the headlines of his political views.
Kluwe has said that he is “quite sure” that he was cut from the team last May for being a defender of the same -sex marriage.
Kluwe also accused the Vikings coach, Mike Priefer, currently a contender to become the next team chief coach, of being a fan who repeatedly used homophobic language in front of him and told him that 'he would end up burning in hell with hell The gays'.
The player, whose game statistics were above the average, believes that his problems began in the fall of 2012 when he began to speak against the Minnesota gay marriage amendment that tried to have a marriage defined as “only a union of a man and a woman. ”

The plaque also uses slogans that become famous for Barack Obama: “Through hope and change, our nation has become better to the golden age of making the United States great again!”

Together with a group called Minnesotans for matrimonial equality, Kluwe helped the amendment to stop. Same sex marriage is now legal in Minnesota, but Kluwe says he lost his career due to his beliefs.
He has written a scathing story of his last months in the Vikings in an article published in Failed Titled I was was Guyer until I was fired by two cowards and a fan.
The Vikings have denied having cut Kluwe for reasons outside the field. Last June, Priefer refused to go into details about Kluwe's release, but said he felt “very strongly” that the Vikings needed to separate from the bettor.
“It was more consistency and productivity,” Priefer said in a answer to a question about what factors, statistical or other, contributed to the decision.
When asked if Kluwe could have improved his production, Priefer simply said: “I felt we needed to make a change there.”
Kluwe made the point that the owner of the team, Zygi Wilf, had expressed his support for Kluwe's public position.
