Nicole Kidman got emotional during an acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Awards… and even started crying as she dedicated her award to her late mother.
The Oscar-winning actress was honored by the film legend with the International Star Award for her latest film, “Babygirl.” Jamie Lee Curtis at the festival on Friday in Florida.
Nicole stepped up to the microphone on stage to say a few words – and almost immediately began talking about her mother's death. Janellein September.
Watch the video obtained by TMZ… Nicole said she went home for Christmas and realized she had lost both parents – her father, Anthonydied in 2014.
But Nicole said her parents gave her the love and resilience to keep moving forward.

She went on to thank the director of “Babygirl,” Halina Reijnfor winning her over for the role in the film… and for accepting the award on her behalf at the Venice Film Festival in September – remember, Nicole left the event abruptly after learning of her mother's death.
At the end of her speech, Nicole dedicated the award to her mother as tears streamed down her face.
