Noah Balta will declare an assault position guilty causing real bodily damage after the AFL star allegedly attacked a man outside a pub on December 30 of last year, his lawyer told a court on Thursday.
Richmond's defender was accused by the New Wales del Sur Police on December 31 after the officers were called to a sports club in the city of Mulawa in Riverina at 12.30 am, after reports of an assault.
In a statement, the police said that a 27 -year -old man was taken to the Yarrawonga hospital in stable condition with a laceration in the head.
That man has been named Thomas Washbrook, 27.
Balta appeared to the Mulawa police the day after the alleged assault.
The 25 -year -old Tigres star did not appear in the Locowa Local Court, but was represented by his lawyer, who told the magistrate that his client declared himself guilty.

According to reports, Balta was in Mulwala preparing to celebrate the new year with family and friends.
His bond extended at Thursday's hearing and will face the Court again on March 20.
He was suspended by four AFL games as a result of the alleged attack, and will also be forced to miss the two preseason games of his team in addition to completing an education course and obtaining advice.
“Noah deeply regrets being involved in the incident,” said Richmond CEO Shane Dunne, in a club statement.
'He has helped NSW's police in his investigation and is anxious to conclude the matter as soon as possible.
“While the result of the investigation and position will be an issue for the police and the courts, both Noah and the club accept that players cannot put themselves in these situations.”
Richmond's older players were consulted before the club decided Balta's sanction.

“After an exhaustive consideration, which included discussions with the players leadership group, we arrive at a decision that reflects the seriousness of the incident and, at the same time, will help Noah to address this behavior,” Dunne said.
“The club will continue to support it during this period and our collective hope, and the expectation is that we will see the best of Noah inside and out of the field from this moment.”
AFL supported Richmond's decision to suspend Balta.
“The AFL has been informed by Richmond of the developments and supports the response and sanction of the club,” said the league in a statement.
“The AFL will continue to monitor current issues in court.”
Balta is a key plank at Richmond's attempt to rebuild under the second year coach Ade andze, since he signed a seven -year container in October.
The agreement links the 104 games defender to the Tigers until the end of season 2032.
