Novak Djokovic has retired from the first round of the Serbia Davis Cup against Denmark due to an injury to the hamstring, said the country's tennis federation.
The number six in the world will represent Serbia during the three days of January 31 to February 2, and the first game takes place in Copenhagen.
However, Djokovic has been forced to withdraw after suffering an injury in the hamstrings in his semifinal match of the Australian Open against Alexander Zverev last week.
Djokovic retired from the game after losing the first set and was booed by some sections of the crowd in Melbourne.
The Grand Slam champion 24 times was less impressed with the reaction of the crowd and turned to social networks to publicize their feelings.

The 37 -year -old star said: “I think we both need to refresh us a little and then we will talk.”
Djokovic was part of the Serbian team that lifted the Davis Cup in 2010 after beating France in a memorable final.
Serbia will launch his Davis Cup campaign on Friday, playing Denmark in a first round draw.
