Ohio State and Texas fans are braving dangerous weather to watch their teams in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night in Texas, as wintry conditions have disrupted the state in recent days.
Snow and icy conditions have descended on Texas lately, resulting in school closures and icy roads.
There has also been several car accidents in the Dallas area due to slippery road conditions.
However, the Cotton Bowl, which serves as the second semifinal of the College Football Playoff, will take place in Arlington at AT&T Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Ohio State fans, in particular, will travel from afar to watch the game, and on Thursday there were a slew of flight cancellations at DFW International and Dallas Love Field airports due to weather conditions.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said everything would be “fine” for fans traveling to the game, but encouraged them to take it easy.

“I've had conversations with several people about it, including at the briefing we had before coming here, knowing they would ask the question about Texas football,” Abbott told reporters, via Texas Public Radio. “There shouldn't be any obstacles for people to attend the game.”
He added: “If you are very cautious, slow and methodical when driving, everything will be fine.”
While the Dallas Cowboys' home game will be played indoors, it will be cold outside around kickoff.
Accuweather predict It will be 36 degrees at 8 pm ET, with 13 mph winds.
Cotton Bowl officials issued a statement Tuesday confirming the game would go ahead as planned.

“We continue to monitor weather reports and, over the past 24 hours, the forecast for the end of this week has improved according to the National Weather Service,” the statement began. 'We have been meeting routinely with city officials, the North Texas Transportation Director and the College Football Playoff. If the forecast changes, we are prepared for all contingencies.
'North Texas roads are already being plowed and plans are in place to ensure a safe environment for everyone in and around AT&T Stadium on game day.
“Teams arrive tomorrow as scheduled, and the 2025 CFP semifinal at the 89th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic will begin Friday night as scheduled.”
Friday's game follows a dramatic Orange Bowl between Penn State and Notre Dame, which the Fighting Irish won 27-24 thanks to a late field goal.
To reach the Cotton Bowl, Texas beat Arizona State in an overtime thriller in the quarterfinals, while Ohio State beat Tennessee and No. 1 Oregon.
