Olivia Dunne returned to LSU for gymnastics practice a day after she and her boyfriend Paul Skenes celebrated the New Year in New Orleans the night of a deadly terrorist attack on Bourbon Street.
Dunne posted two videos on her Instagram Story of her at a practice facility preparing for an upcoming competition in her final season of college gymnastics.
It's the fifth-year senior's first official meet of the year, as the second-ranked defending national champion Tigers host Iowa State at the Maravich Center.
But the meeting comes after a disastrous terrorist attack on the streets of the Big Easy, an attack that Dunne and Skenes came very close to.
On New Year's Day, the LSU gymnastics sensation posted two photos from a night out in Louisiana, but both appear to be from the night before. In the images, Dunne was wearing the same outfit as in a TikTok video from December 31.
She and her MLB star boyfriend, Skenes, were first photographed alongside Pittsburgh teammate Bubba Chandler and teammate Allie Enright at a bar.

Dunne shared a photo of Bourbon Street that appears to be hours before the terrorist attack.
Dunne also posted a second image, which appeared to show a packed Bourbon Street hours before the deadly attack, along with a broken heart emoji.
It is unclear exactly when the group was on Bourbon Street, although the large crowd, apparently in good spirits, would suggest it was before the attack.
The famous street was also lined with Georgian flags in the photo. The Bulldogs were scheduled to face Notre Dame in the College Football Playoffs in New Orleans on New Year's Day, but the game was postponed until Thursday in the wake of the tragedy.
New Orleans is reeling from the fatal attack that claimed the lives of 15 people and injured 35 after a terrorist drove a vehicle into a large crowd celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street.
Driver Shamsud Din Jabbar, who was killed in a shootout with police, plowed into the group at high speed before getting out and firing a gun, witnesses said. Investigators also found what appeared to be improvised explosives at the crash site that did not detonate.
The FBI said the driver of the vehicle was Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas. They are investigating the massacre “as an act of terrorism” and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell called it a “terrorist attack.”
An ISIS flag and weapons were found inside the vehicle, as the FBI continues to evaluate Jabbar's connection to the terrorist group.
Firearms and pipe bombs were found in the suspect's vehicle, according to the State Police bulletin.
On her night out she wore the same outfit as in a TikTok video from December 31.

New Orleans is reeling after a terrorist drove a vehicle into a large crowd, killing 15 people.
The devices were hidden inside refrigerators and wired for remote detonation with a remote control that was also found in the vehicle, according to the bulletin.
The attack in New Orleans comes just under six weeks before the city hosts this year's Super Bowl on Feb. 9, raising concerns among NFL fans ahead of the 2025 showpiece.
However, in a statement regarding the horrific events that took place on Bourbon Street, the league emphasized that Super Bowl LIX will remain a safe event at the Caesars Superdome after two years of “comprehensive safety plans” were put together.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of the devastating incident in New Orleans,” a statement from the NFL said. 'Our thoughts are with the victims, the New Orleans community and all those affected.
'The NFL and the local host committee have been working collaboratively with local, state and federal agencies for the past two years and have developed comprehensive safety plans.
“These planning sessions will continue as they do with all major NFL events and we are confident that attendees will have a safe and enjoyable Super Bowl experience.”
