Olympic medalist Omari Jones is in the ring for his box debut on March 15 … and plans to make a powerful statement with a knockout victory!
Jones – who won the bronze medal when boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris – spoke along TMZ Sport Days before his six-round box debut in the Caribbean Royale in his hometown Orlando, Florida.
Jones – who signed Eddie Hearn'S Matchroom Boxing Promotion – is striving to present his skills in front of his family, friends and fans and to describe themselves as the complete package as an elite boxer.
“I am ready to show my skills to show speed and strength,” said Jones to us, “and how I adapted to the professionals from the amateur.”
To make his point of view, Jones, 22, will fight around 14-5 Alessio Mastronunzio.
Omari believes that Ko'ing will prove an experienced fighter that he is legitimate – and he will be ready if the opportunity offers.
“When I see an opening to make it, I will definitely end it,” said Jones.
Even if Jones does not order away, it is a dream that has become true for him, and he is determined to achieve his first victory – what he believes that it will be many!
As for the career goals, Omaris shoots for the stars. He seems to be anchored in the Boxhall of Fame one day.
