US Olympic sprint star Fred Kerley was attacked with a Taser before being charged with assault on a police officer in Miami on Thursday night.

Officers allege Kerley, who won bronze in the 100-meter dash at last year's Olympics in Paris, interfered with a separate police scene near Miami's iconic Ocean Drive.

The 29-year-old man is alleged to have attempted to fight off the officers and had to be shocked with electricity as a result. according to local news station WSVN.
