- The first fight ended with both fighters knocking down the upper rope
- Whittaker said he couldn't continue and Cameron believes he resigned
- Cameron insists that he will knock out Whittaker in his rematch in April
Liam Cameron is firm that the work that began when it enters the ring with the Olympic silver medalist Ben Whittaker for the second time on April 20 will end.
Cameron and Whittaker faced face to face in Saudi Arabia in October, with the latter very favored to extend their winning streak in the professional ranks.
But it was Cameron who began to reach the top after a slow beginning before a strange incident at the end of the fifth round brought the fight to an abrupt end.
After participating in a Clinch, Cameron and Whittaker they collapsed on the upper rope and landed strongly on the canvas.
Cameron was willing to continue, but Whittaker complained about problems with the neck and ankle and the contest was exhausted, with the judges later scoring the technical raffle.
There were immediately calls for a rematch, while Whittaker was also accused of quitting smoking.

Whittaker said he couldn't continue after falling strongly, but Cameron believes he resigned

The couple is now prepared for a rematch in April, and Cameron has already delivered a brutal mockery calling their opponent a “resignation”
Cameron shares that view, and believes that he will solve the score once and for all after his rematch in Birmingham was announced on Thursday.
“He left,” Cameron told Mail Sport. 'I was too tired.'
When asked if the end of the first fight could have an impact on the rematch, Cameron added brutally: “Once a resignation, always a resignation.”
Whittaker has divided the opinion with his pranks that moved to the professional game after winning money at Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.
However, Whittaker's bravery did not seem to chase Cameron at all in October, while the pressure was stacked by round.
Cameron feels that he exhibited Whittaker's deficiencies, and has backed down to produce a conclusive finish in the rematch by sticking to the same game plan.
Reflecting on how the first fight was developed, Cameron said: 'He couldn't do what he had to do. I didn't let me do that. It was not because it was terrible, I just didn't let it do it.
When asked how he planned to approach the rematch, Cameron replied: 'Exactly the same. Put it on him.
