Owen Hargreaves claims Brighton have SIX players who would be in Man United's starting XI after Old Trafford scalp and blames Erik ten Hag for wasting £600m.

  • Manchester United lost 3-1 to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
  • The Red Devils have lost four of their last five games at Old Trafford.
  • LISTEN NOW: It's all starting! Is Everton where they deserve to be or are the club's fans deceived?

Former Man United midfielder Owen Hargreaves believes Brighton have more players who would fit into a combined XI with the Red Devils.

United suffered another miserable defeat at Old Trafford as the Seagulls won 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Yankuba Minteh scored one goal and created another, and the hosts were not helped by another big mistake from goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter also found the net for Brighton, who saw another Joao Pedro goal disallowed by VAR for a foul in the build-up.

Bruno Fernandes leveled the score from the spot before the break but Brighton took the lead for the second time. Onana played a routine pass from a low cross into the box, allowing Rutter to finish off the loose ball.

Speaking after the game, Hargreaves said: “It all goes back to recruitment… Erik ten Hag spent £600m, and there aren't many of those players who would start in another top team.”
