Pat Boone says Walt Disney Would be horrified by the state of Disney today … the assertion that the company has sold its ideals to make money quickly – and the company no longer for families.
We met with the legendary singer and actor at Lax Tuesday … And he tells us that the founder of Disneyland “has to turn” in his grave because Boone says that the company is trying to lose his identity as a family film manufacturer.
Boone says the company just wants to make money … which is absolutely not what Disney presented when he founded the company.
PB talks about a Broadway-bound piece that he is involved and that tells the life of Walt Disney … and he believes that it will remind people of Walt's original vision. While Pat does not call the musical in the clip, he presented the show “When you wish: the story of Walt Disney” in the Freud Playhouse of UCLA in 2013 – so it could be the show about which he speaks.
Boone used to work with Walt Disney Records … several songs on the label at the height of his fame in the 1950s and 1960s, including the Holiday Classic “Little Green Tree”.
