Patrick Mahomes' mother, Randi Martin, shared an emotional update about her father before Super Bowl Lix this week.
Last month it was revealed that the grandfather of Mahomes, Randy, had been transferred to Hospice Care a little more than 48 hours before the field marshal of the Kansas City Chiefs secured his place in the Super Bowl.
And while Mahomes prepares to play in his fifth Super Bowl in six years, Randi visited his 78 -year -old father.
The first three mother revealed on Tuesday that she had spent the afternoon with her father, who was so focused on the Super Bowl five days since the great game in New Orleans.
“Tard with dad and all he wants to speak is the Superbowl,” Randi shared with his Instagram story, along with a sweet photo of her holding her hand.
She has spoken repeatedly on social networks about her father, Randy, and her poor health, but has never revealed precisely what the problem is. Randy turned 78 on January 6.

The three -year -old mother revealed that the sick grandfather of the field marshal was talking about the Super Bowl despite being admitted to Hospice Care two weeks ago.
Mahomes and Kansas City bosses will pay the Super Bowl in New Orleans in five days.
Randi went to Instagram during the holidays and asked for prayers for his father, Randy and in September he shared a photo of herself watching Patrick and the Chiefs play from the bed of her father's hospital.
“Prayer warriors please pray for my dad,” he wrote on September 13 while the Chiefs played the Los Angeles Chargers. “It's in the hospital and it's not right.”
He also shared a photo of his father outside the Hospital in Thanksgiving and said she was delighted to celebrate with him.
Although his father was transferred to a hospice only a few days earlier, Randi was present in Arrowhead to support his son during the AFC championship against Buffalo Bills.
After the game, and after the bosses had sealed the progression to New Orleans, Mohamcs quickly joined with his family in the field.
In a family moment, the field marshal posed with his mother Randi, his wife Brittany, a few days after she gave birth to her third son: Father Patrick Snr, Brother Jackson and the middle sister of mine.
The photo, which was published by the controversial figure Jackson, was accompanied by the subtitle 'Superbowl Time!' and includes red and yellow ticker tape floating in the background.
Now, Mahomes and his Chiefs team continue their search for the 'Tres Turba', a third historical title of Super Bowl, at Big Easy on Sunday.
The field marshal and his teammates arrived in the city of Crescent on Sunday, but it is not clear when or if his mother will make the trip down.
