Patrick Mahomes' mother has said that her father is “hanging” in a hospice to try to see her grandson at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
She revealed in January that her father's health had taken a turn, but has still reached New Orleans to support her son while trying to ensure the 'mob' with the Kansas City bosses.
Randi told People: 'I know he has meant a lot for him (which Patrick is in another Super Bowl). And I think he is enduring because he wants to see his grandson do something incredible or simply let him play.
'I mean, he must be such a proud, very proud grandfather. And my mother was very proud and her other grandparents.
Mohamses's mother added that she has kept the Chiefs Marshal updated on her grandfather's help, but has tried not to “bother him” before what could be a game that defines the race.
