Pete HegsethSenate confirmation hearing for his nomination as Donald TrumpThere was chaos at the US Defense Department as several protesters disrupted the proceedings.
Check out the video… Hegseth thanked people for “standing behind me, literally and figuratively,” when, ironically, an older man behind him decided to express his dissent and him calling him a misogynist before he was led out – and to the protest parade I didn't stop there.
At least three protesters were kicked out of the hearing room Tuesday morning, with one woman expressing her displeasure before being shown the door – and another man in dramatic fashion worn found out by the US Capitol Police.
As for Hegseth… the former Fox News weekend anchor didn't break a sweat – he just waited patiently for the room to quiet down before calmly picking up where he left off.
It looks like Hegseth expected the backlash, especially after he caused a stir with bold opinions such as saying that women should not serve in combat and claiming that military standards are lowered for women been.
But it seems Trump is going all-in on Pete – when he first picked him, he called Hegseth “tough, smart and a true believer in America First.”
