Peter Crouch has named the one player he believes has stood out for Tottenham this season.
After leading the club to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season, Ange Postecoglou has struggled to build on the success of his first Premier League campaign.
Spurs currently sit 15th in the table and have won just one of their last ten league games.
A series of injuries to key players have wreaked havoc on the Australian's plans in recent weeks, as the club continues to attempt to compete in four competitions.
Ahead of the club's clash against Hoffenheim on Thursday, Crouch claimed that Dejan Kulusevski's performances have served as a rare bright spot in an otherwise bleak period for the club.
“Yes, it has changed in every game.” Crouch said about the Swedish international on TNT Sports.
Peter Crouch insisted Dejan Kulusevski has been a “bright light” amid Tottenham’s recent struggles.
The north London club are winless in their last six Premier League games and are currently 15th in the standings.
Owen Hargreaves added that Ange Postecoglou is “lucky” that Kulusevski has been so consistent
“I mean, even in the Rangers game, I think he had to come in and score, it's been a breath of fresh air.”
“When there's a real struggle for confidence in certain key players, he's been the one light that just says 'give me the ball' in every situation, regardless of whether they were struggling.”
Kulusevski has made 33 appearances for the north London club this season, scoring nine goals and registering eight assists in all competitions.
The 24-year-old was even given the captain's armband in the absence of regular skipper Son Heung-min during the club's loss to Newcastle earlier this month.
Echoing Crouch's sentiments, former England international Owen Hargreaves added that Kulusevski could be destined to move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He said: “If Tottenham are not careful, no matter how good a team they have, they could play for anyone.”
“I think he's really, really good and they're lucky he's been as consistent as he is.”
“He and Solanke have helped keep this team going, but they need the other guys to step up.”
