PGA Tour star, Russell Henley, cried fans after an emotional moment with his wife and three children in Green in Bay Hill on Sunday night.
Henley, 35, won his fifth PGA Tour event at Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the first in three years, after beating Collin Morikawa and Corey Conners to obtain the so -called $ 4 million award.
However, what happened after sinking his final putt in the 18th Green created most of the headlines, since his family invaded the green to celebrate with the winner.
In emotional scenes broadcast on CBS, you can see their three children Robert, Ruth and Jane running with their father just a few seconds after he sealed the victory.
They are followed by his wife Teil, whom Henley recently referred as the “steel of his column.”
In social networks, fans loved the emotional family moment, with Skip Bayless even admitting that the moment made him cry.
Publishing in X, he wrote: 'Seeing the 3 children and his wife of Russell Henley run to green 18 to hug him after he made those 3 1-2 feet to win the Arnie tournament made me cry.
'What a brave grinder is, not the most talented. As you just said, 'Golf is very hard.' Amen.'
Henley won for the first time at the PGA Tour in 2013 in Hawaii, before collecting another in 2014, and his third in Houston in 2017.
Then he had to wait five and a half years for his room, in the World Technology Championship in Mexico in November 2022.
“Collin bleak, played very well, super great, but sometimes golf is just like that,” Henley told CBS after his victory.
'He was so nervous, so incredibly nervous. I can't breathe right now. It is very difficult and so difficult in this place.
'I just tried to stay really hard. I have seen Tiger (Woods) do many putts in this green. I have seen Rory (Mcilroy), Fran (Francesco Molinari) and Bryson (Dechambeau) make winning putts here, and it is great to know that I did it too '.
