Chaos at a Los Angeles Costco where adults fought over boxes of Pokémon cards… and the chaos is caught on video.
A literal fight broke out at a Costco warehouse in Atwater Village over the right to purchase a set of trading cards.
The footage shows people struggling to get their hands on the goods… with one man taking an elbow to the face while wrestling with another shopper.
Costco employees tried to play peacemaker, but people weren't having it.
A Costco representative at the Atwater Village location tells TMZ … Store staff responded to an argument between a group of customers and broke up the argument Thursday – no one was seriously injured. We're told police were not called, no arrests were made and Costco is handling the situation internally.
This is about money… the Pokémon cards in focus are the 151 Blooming Waters Premium Collection, available online for $120 to $150. Costco sells the cards for less than $60, so they can make a profit on resales.
JANUARY 2024
Costco charges a fee for membership, so it's almost like a mini fight club!!!
The scene here at Costco is reminiscent of last year The Stanley Cup trendas people fought over drinking cups at a Target-Starbucks location.
This almost makes Walmart feel safe!!!
