Famous rapper Project Pat's son has died after a shooting in a Tennessee park — although the details of the incident remain unclear … TMZ has learned.
Patrick Houston Jr. – Son of the rapper and nephew of the co-founder of Three 6 Mafia Juicy J — was killed last week in Imogene Heights, a historically black neighborhood in Memphis.
According to Memphis police, the shooting happened just after 1 p.m. on Friday … and when officers arrived on the scene, they found Houston dead.
No further details have been released yet.
Project Pat rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the group The Kaze… and joined the group in 1998, the same year they released their debut album.
The Kaze – also known as the Killa Klan Kaze – were an affiliated act of the Three 6 Mafia for years due to Pat's relationship with his little brother Juicy J.
Pat has an RIAA Gold certified album entitled Mista Don't Play: Everythangs Workin, released in 2001… just a few months before Patrick Houston Jr. was born.
The funeral service in Houston is scheduled for Saturday. We have reached out to law enforcement for more information about the shooting…no response yet.
