Eric And Lyle Menendez's relatives aren't saying much about their first meeting with LA County's new district attorney Nathan Hochman …but he's about to hold a press conference where we can finally find out where he stands on the case.
We caught up with that Menendez brothers'lawyer, Mark Geragosand their loved ones in front of the Hall of Justice in downtown LA… moments after trying to convince Hochman to release Erik and Lyle from prison, where they are serving life without parole for the 1989 shotgun murders of their parents Jose And Kitty Menendez.

We asked Geragos if he and his family had been able to get the prosecutor to see the case their way, but no one wanted to comment – just as they were pretty tight-lipped about the case when we were on it Way there with them spoke the meeting.
In the decades since, the siblings' relatives have formed the Justice for Erik and Lyle Coalition in hopes of getting them released from prison … with the family noting that the brothers have been rehabilitated after nearly 35 years behind bars.
We expect DA Hochman to say more about the meeting shortly. He's scheduled a press conference for 4:30 p.m. PT… and we'll be broadcasting it live here in this post.
Of course, former LA district attorney George Gascon supported resentencing the brothers, noting that they had been model prisoners during their time in prison.
However, after Gascón lost his re-election bid to Hochman in November, Erik and Lyle had their first hearing on the issue was delayed until 2025.
Since taking office, Hochman has not made clear where he stands on the issue – although he met with the attorney representing the only Menendez relative who does not support the release of Erik and Lyle.
