Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has hinted that his future could be away from the team following their playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The 31-year-old spoke with ESPN a day after his team's loss in snowy Philadelphia and suggested his future in Los Angeles is far from secure.
“I feel like I still have a lot of good football left in me.” Next year I will play soccer. I know that,” he said.
'Who knows what's going to happen. That's out of my control. And we will see what it will be.
“I don't have any clarity on what that's going to be like or anything like that. So yeah, obviously I'd love to be in L.A., but I don't know what that's going to be like.”
Kupp's words come a day after his teammate, quarterback Matthew Stafford, hinted he might retire.
Speaking in the locker room, the 36-year-old quarterback was noncommittal when asked about his future with the franchise.
“As far as my future is concerned, there are 30 minutes left until the last game, so I will take some time to think about it,” he said. told reporters. “But I feel like I was playing pretty well.”
Stafford was then asked if he had “good football” left in him, to which he responded affirmatively.
“I'm sure you'd like it that way,” he said.
