Chelsea want more than £60million if they are to sell Christopher Nkunku this month amid interest in the Bayern Munich striker, Mail Sport has learned.

Nkunku was signed from RB Leipzig for £52million in 2023 and is currently subject to a deal that runs until 2029, although the 27-year-old Frenchman has been frustrated by his lack of playing time under Enzo Maresca.

Nkunku could now be ready to return to the Bundesliga if Bayern find Chelsea's asking price acceptable, or if the Germans feel they can negotiate a lower figure with their English counterparts.

This is a similar valuation to what Napoli want to sell Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, which is estimated to be around €70m (£59m).

Kvaratskhelia has told his Italian club that he is ready to leave this month, having been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are waiting to see if Bayern encourages them to agree a deal for their 19-year-old striker Mathys Tel.

The Blues have a long-standing interest in the teenager, having also checked his availability in the summer, as Mail Sport reported on Monday.

As things stand, no talks are taking place regarding a swap deal involving Tel and Nkunku as they are considered separate transactions.
