Ricky Hatton reveals what will be needed for Tyson Fury

  • Fury retired from boxing in January after consecutive losses against Oleksandr Usyk
  • He moved away from an agreement of two fights informed with Joshua in the process
  • But Fury's close friend, Hatton, believes he could still return to finally fight AJ

Ricky Hatton has revealed what will be needed to get Tyson Fury out of retirement, and a very desired super fight with Anthony Joshua is in the heart of it.

The boxing world has been dreaming for a long time with a 'battle of Great Britain' between two of the best heavyweights of this generation, but the two world champions have not yet shared the ring.

The hopes of finally signed a fight seemed to go up to smoke when Fury announced his retirement in January, moving away from a two fighting agreement reported with AJ after suffering consecutive losses against Oleksandr Usyk.

However, the legend of British boxing and Fury's close friend, Hatton, has revealed that there is still a reason for optimism with respect to a return to the gypsy king.

“Tyson retired before,” he said Sky Sports. 'It happens that they were trying to fight Joshua.

'They were trying to do it for 10 years and it seems that they are not going to do it now now retired from Tyson.

'But I would take that retirement with a pinch of salt meeting Tyson. If the right money is offered, the correct bag for AJ's fight, knowing Tyson as me, I think I would jump it.

Manchester's favorite, Hatton, played a role in recovering the ring in the ring in 2018, before the gypsy king embarked on a race that defined the legacy.

And while Fury says he has called Time in his career once and for all, Hatton believes that taking Joshua's fight would be the right choice for the 36 -year -old.

Hatton added: “I think Tyson will kick if he feels on his sofa 10 years and thinks to himself:” I wonder what would have happened if I had fought against AJ? “

“He is in a position to do something now instead of curseing for the rest of his life.”

That said, Hatton does not feel that Fury will have anything to prove and insists that his legacy will not be affected if he chooses not to return.

“I would like to see him retire,” he said. 'I think he has done enough. I would like to see AJ's fight, but I think he has done enough.

'A few years ago, when I was 26, we never thought I would fight again. I was hardly here for all the problems he had. So, for him to do what he has done, he has proudly made us all and I would like to see him retire now.

'His fights against Usyk I think much closer than AJ fights with Usyk. Daniel Dubois was obviously defeated by USYK and there was a bit of controversy in that.

'I think Usyk won both fights against Tyson, but I can see why other people thought Tyson could have won them. Because they were so close. Tyson, still has a lot in the tank in what is concerned. He has pushed Ushk further from any other person.

Look what he has done and what he has achieved. He has had that trilogy with Deontay Wilder, which was a battle of three absolutely sensational fights.

'He returned when nobody thought he could and became a heavyweight champion in the world. You have nothing left to demonstrate.
