After winning his first event at Pebble Beach, Rory Mcilroy spoke with Amanda Balionis of CBS Sports in an interview after the final.
Mcilroy flew the competition, finishing two blows ahead of his friend Shane Lowry to finish his weekend in northern California at 21 under par.
After his first victory in the historical course, Mcilroy approached what he meant in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
“Some people would argue that the golf courses in which I have won are not up to the beach of pebbles or obviously to Augusta or whatever it is,” Mcilroy joked.
'But winning in one of the golf cathedrals is really great. I knew that it was going to be hard today, it was going to be exciting, there were so many guys around leadership.
'And I suppose I had that … with Pebble beach, I had to put it at the bottom of my mind and simply go out and try to shoot a score, which I could.

Golf fans for a long time pointed out how 'awkward' the interview between the two was considering the events of 2024.
Last year, Mcilroy requested the divorce of his seven -year -old wife, Erica Stoll, serving her with documents at his home in Florida.
The rumors suggested that Mcilroy had had some form of relationship with Balionis while both were on tour.
But for June, less than a full month after Stoll was fulfilled, the presentation retired and the couple remained together.
After the withdrawal of the presentation, the Irish made a rare statement about his personal life.
'Recently there have been rumors about my personal life, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumor is a fool game, 'Mcilroy said The guardian.
