The 53-year-old was the target of would-be autograph hunters, who asked him to sign t-shirts and other memorabilia.

Guardiola identified two who wanted to profit by selling souvenirs with his signature and gave a forceful response while pleading with them to make better decisions.

“Don't come again, I won't tell you again, I know your faces,” said Guardiola.

'Go to school and get ready guys. “You're young, so don't be here wasting your time,” Guardiola told the trophy hunters, who were standing awkwardly and clutching replica shirts.

'Let's keep doing it. Prepare better. Damn man, this is not for all people, this is for you.

'What are your dreams? Tell me, what is it? Where do you dream my friend? Practice, fuck, practice.'

Guardiola found an ally in former Manchester United captain turned pundit Roy Keane.

Keane criticized the autograph hunters and stated that there is now a lack of respect.

“Good on Pep Guardiola for lecturing autograph hunters; they are an absolute nuisance,” said Keane, speaking at the Stay with football podcast, presented by sky bet.

'You see them everywhere and they are absolutely right. Years ago, if you wanted a t-shirt or a photo, there was an element of respect. There is no longer that respect.

'Now there are people waiting in the parking lots.

'Also, is that your house? It's terrible that they know where people live now. They're idiots, well done Pep.'
