Ruben Amorim has leveled a surprising criticism at Marcus Rashford, saying he would rather play with his goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital, 63, than the unstable Manchester United star.
Rashford has not featured in the last 11 games amid uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford as talks continue over a loan move to Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
Amorim dropped Rashford from his Manchester derby squad last month for his attitude in training, and the United boss confirmed that remains the reason for the 27-year-old's absence.
“It's always the same reason,” Amorim said after United's 1-0 win over Fulham.
'The reason is training. My way of seeing what a footballer should do in training, in life, every day. If things don't change, I won't change.
“You can see it today on the bench. We needed a little rhythm to change the game and move some pieces, but I prefer it that way.

Rubén Amorim affirms that he would prefer to choose goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital than Rashford
Man United manager Amorim spoke after his team's 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday night.
'I will put Vital before a player who doesn't give his best. I won't change in that department.'
Asked if the situation will change if Rashford remains at United after the deadline next week, Amorim added: “It's the same situation for all the players. If you do your best, if you do the right things, we can use all the players.”
Amorim's words may put pressure on Rashford to do everything he can to move away from his hometown club before the January transfer window closes, lest he find himself sidelined for the rest of the season.
Rashford revealed during a bombshell interview in December that he was “ready for a new challenge” away from his boyhood club after nine years in the first team.
Amorim insists he does not know whether the striker will leave in January and Mail Sport understands the players' £315,000-a-week wages are proving to be a stumbling block in negotiations with teams such as Barcelona and Dortmund.
The Portuguese's tough stance is due to the fact that his team, United, continues to have difficulties scoring goals.
Forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have only managed one goal between them since the beginning of December.
Danish striker Hojlund was given the nod to start against Fulham and failed to impress. Man United Rio Ferdinand made a withering assessment during his inquiry for TNT Sorts that Hojlund's 'weak' play was stifling his team's play.
In the end, United took advantage of a deflected shot from defender Lisandro Martínez to get over the line and win 1-0.
