Alejandro Garnacho hasn't started any of Manchester United's last six games, but he would be one of the first names in my squad at Anfield on Sunday.
If Liverpool have shown any weakness this season, it has been when the likes of Anthony Gordon, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tyler Dibling ran at them at speed.
When Arne Slot's men first see the United team, they will be more worried about Garnacho and Amad Diallo than Rasmus Hojlund, for example.
I know it has been mentioned that Garnacho took issue with Amorim, and it may turn out that he is not part of United's long-term future due to the manager's preferred formation.
But anything that happens in the future should be put aside for Sunday. Liverpool's visit is unique. It is United's most important game and Amorim desperately needs to get a result.
For 90 minutes, forget about the future project; try to get a result now. Garnacho is one of the few assets that Liverpool have that will worry them. We saw against Newcastle on Monday that Hojlund's one-on-one against Fabian Schar posed little threat to a top-class defender.
Alejandro Garnacho has not started in any of Manchester United's last six games but he must do so against Liverpool
United manager Rubén Amorim (right) has previously eliminated Garnacho in the last six games.
The Red Devils desperately need a result against their biggest rivals on Sunday afternoon.
Garnacho's presence does not guarantee a United victory, but at least he and Diallo would give Liverpool's defenders something to think about.
If they are occupied by the threat of United's counter-attack, they will be less aggressive in the press to give Amorim's players more time on the ball.
Beyond this weekend, we know United face a massive rebuild. Amorim needs new blood and that will cost money, so it also needs outlets.
He would listen to offers for several big-name United players, including Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martínez and Hojlund, as well as the obvious ones: Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Joshua Zirkzee and Antony.
Marcus Rashford's interview about his desire for a new challenge also appears to be the final nail in the coffin of his United career.
None of them are bad, but a club like United can do better. They need more energy and athleticism at all times.
The nine players I would stay with along with the new signings are Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Diallo, Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui and Mason Mount. The rest is in the window.
