Ryan Seacrest pulls back the curtain on “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve”… and reveals that the day is longer than many realize – and that he needs some pain relief to weather the storm.
The talk and game show host stopped by “TMZ Live” on Tuesday as he strolled through Times Square before the night's festivities began … and said it looked beautiful in NYC right now — but it's expected to be in Streams stream when they go on air.
While the show doesn't begin until 8 p.m. ET, Ryan is already preparing for the show… and explains that the production is in dress rehearsal mode – and while the cast is rehearsing their shows, Ryan and the rest of the crew will also run what they can.
Seacrest admits he's no spring chicken and that it's a long day for everyone… However, he admits he brought Icy Hot and muscle cramp medication with him to keep him in tip-top shape throughout the show.
We also spoke to Ryan about the bathroom problem – there are never enough for everyone when the area is full. Seacrest says he's heard of people wearing diapers… although he swears he hasn't asked anyone directly.
Ryan says he's most excited to see all the cast members…especially their names Carrie Underwood and the Jonas Brothers. He also marvels at how quickly event staff can clean up the entire area.

Seacrest himself won't be involved in the cleanup… because he says he needs a place to sit and a whole lot of food to eat – although his options will even be somewhat limited after midnight on New Year's Day in “The City That Never Sleeps.” .
By the way… celebs will be filling the stage for the show tonight – with Lenny Kravitz, Mark Ambor, Mickey Guyton, Megan Moroney, Sophie Ellis Bextor And TLC Together with Underwood and the Jonas Brothers, he provided the entertainment.
“Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025” begins at 5:00 p.m. PT – just hours before we say bon voyage to 2024.
