Los Angeles professional sports teams' joint effort to support wildfire victims with “LA Strong” shirts is a huge success – TMZ Sports has learned that more than 30,000 items have been sold so far – with all proceeds going to the cause.
The 17 local organizations teamed up with Fanatics to produce “LA Strong” merchandise on Friday… as a tribute to the victims of the devastating wildfires.
We're told orders for the merchandise – priced at $35 each – are some of the most popular on the site… and a whole lot has been sold in the last three days.
“Since launch, LA Strong shirts/hoodies have accounted for three of the four and five of the ten best-selling products across the Fanatics website network,” a spokesperson told us.
All proceeds go to the American Red Cross and the LA Fire Department Foundation.
Several LA teams have made individual donations to support their city, like the Lakers, who are hosting a fundraiser at Crypto.com Arena before their game against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
The Rams and Chargers worked with the NFL and other teams to jointly donate $5 million to the wildfire relief fund.
In total, the teams have pledged a collective donation of $8 million to help those affected and fight the fires.
