- Sam Kerr was photographed smiling when he returned to the training camp on Thursday
- It comes after the Chelsea star was clear of racially aggravated harassment
Chelsea's manager, Sonia Bompastor, has provided an update of injuries to Sam Kerr, stating that the Australian striker was making good progress, but could not confirm a period of time at the time he would play again.
Kerr, who has not played for Matildas or Chelsea in more than a year due to an anterior cross ligament injury (ACL), was photographed today in training today for the first time since the conclusion of his judicial case on Tuesday.
The 31 -year -old was authorized by racially aggravated harassment of a police officer after he called the “stupid and white” policeman.
Kerr has been photographed in training in recent months with Chelsea, especially attending a warm weather training camp with his teammates in Portugal in January, but today he was photographed in the Cobham training field of the club.
The Matildas star was seen smiling next to the teammate Guro reite during the session, in which she was also photographed working in some technical skills in the grass with the ball at her feet.
Bompastor has previously hinted that Kerr could return to the field in February or March, but today he gave an update about his rehabilitation progress, admitting that he was not sure when Kerr could return.

Kerr is still working on an ACL injury that has set her aside for more than a year
“It's hard to give a really precise period of time for Sam,” said Chelsea manager.
'(I'm) very happy to have her back in the field with us with the team.
'She is not practicing completely with the team and is still being handled and is really individual, each player is different, but it is different to give a frame of time.
“He is progressing with his rehabilitation and going in the right direction.”
Kerr went to Instagram earlier on Thursday to publish several photos of herself smiling during training, subtitling the publication with a smiling face.
Former Manager Emma Hayes commented on a 'emoji of the heart of love' in the publication.
The 31 -year -old striker, who signed for the Blues in 2019, suffered the ACL injury during a warm weather training camp in Morocco in January 2024.
He underwent surgery in the injury, that the former Blues Chief, Hayes declared, was caused by a “simple and harmless” movement during a training session.

Bompastor added that the club will place its support behind Kerr after the judicial case
Bompastor also declared that the club would support its support behind the Chelsea star after the conclusion of this week's trial.
“Yes, it happens in life and now you must also be forgiven for that and advance,” he said.
'But I think he made a statement and it was clear in his statement, it was clear in his statement and I think that was clear enough. I think what he faced last week was difficult enough for her.
“The only thing we want to do as a club is to support it.”
She added: 'Since I joined Chelsea, I met Sam as a player and person, and I was very surprised that she participated in that. Who is she does not reflect what I heard in court and what I was reading in the newspapers.
“Sam acknowledged that sometimes you can make mistakes,” he added.
