- Niamh Charles has played 150 games for Chelsea
- Teammate for a long time of Sam Kerr in the blues
- Charles also played for England in the 2023 World Cup
Sam Kerr has paid tribute to his Chelsea teammate, Niamh Charles, after the left side accumulated 150 appearances in his career for Chelsea.
Kerr, 31, published an Instagram story that recognizes achievement, before adding blatantly: “I will only give you congratulations.”
Charles, 25, appeared in the World Cup of Women in 2023, where the Lionesses of England broke Australian hearts in the semifinal.
The defender has long admired Kerr's tenacity, which previously labeled a 'machine' in the field.
It comes when Matildas captain, 31, seeks to relive his public image after his recent judicial saga in London.
The Blues striker was declared not guilty of racially aggravated abuse after calling a “stupid and white” police officer during a heated row at a London police station just over two years ago.

Meanwhile, Sam Kerr insists that he is 'completely focused on returning to the presentation' after he was authorized as racially aggravated harassment of a police officer on February 11 after an incident in 2023

The Chelsea star, who has not played in more than a year after a LCA injury, declared that “I did not intend to insult or harm anyone”
Kerr directed the comments on PC Stephen Lovell when a taxi driver took her to the station after she vomited in her vehicle and her promising Kristie Mewis crashed into a window.
Australia's best women's footballer told the jurors that he feared herself and that the United States international, Kristie Mewis, was being kidnapped by the taxi driver, and made the comments because PC Lovell was not listening or understood or understood her 'position privileged 'as a man.
PC Lovell said he felt 'belittled and annoying' by Kerr after his supposed comments.
He was acquitted by a jury in Kingston Crown Court after just over four hours of deliberations.
Kerr then reaffirmed that he had not “tried to insult or harm anyone” with a statement after the trial.
“After the non -guilty verdict, I can finally leave this challenging period behind,” said Chelsea star.
“While I apologize for expressing myself badly in what was a traumatic night, I have always argued that I did not intend to insult or harm anyone and I am grateful that the jury agreed unanimously.”
Despite the non -guilty verdict, the calls have arrived in Kerr to be stripped of Matildas captaincy of the football commentator Lucy Zelic and former Socceroo Bruce Djite.
Football Australia has not yet confirmed whether Kerr will remain as a pattern, since he continues to recover from a LCA injury suffered in a Chelsea training camp in January last year.
