Sebastian Stanis the controversial portrayal of a young man Donald Trump received the highest honor in Hollywood…he's now an Oscar nominee.
The actor was just nominated for Best Actor for his work in “The Apprentice” … which came as a surprise to many tuning in for the 2025 Oscar nominations, considering the cold reception the film received from POTUS himself.
Trump criticized the biopic as “wrong” and “classless” on Truth Social back in October. Ivana Trump The rape scene sparked controversy.
He ranted at the time… “It is a cheap, defamatory and politically repugnant hatchet job carried out just before the 2024 presidential election to damage the greatest political movement in our country's history: 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.' !'”

The buzz surrounding the film died down for a while as the flick grossed over $17 million at the box office – a million more than its original budget.
Sebastian then received a Golden Globe for his work in the thriller “A Different Man” … but not for “The Apprentice” – he was nominated for both films.
So it's safe to say that this nomination is a surprise for everyone involved!!!

Still, Sebastian isn't necessarily the front-runner in this category heading into the Oscars…he's up against an opponent Adrien Brody for “The Brutalist” Timothée Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown” Colman Domingo for “Sing Sing” and Ralph Fiennes for “Conclave.”
Talk about serious competition…we're sure 47 will have something to say about this nomination!!!
