The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints came to blows during their important Week 18 matchup after a late hit on Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield himself turned up the heat of the game, not liking the extra contact and instigating the fight with his retaliation against defensive back Will Harris.
The scrum took place in the third quarter after Mayfield ran the ball and surrendered to the play, later than usual. Will Harris had already committed to hitting him and made the contact that was on the verge of a penalty.
Mayfield didn't like the fact that he was hit late, prompting him to get up and confront Harris, knocking the Saints star to the turf.
As Mayfield walked away from the situation, several Saints players approached him, which only drew the ire of the Buccaneers offense, who stood in front of their interlocutor.
Several shoves followed, and offensive lineman Cody Mauch threw a punch mid-fight without penalty flags being thrown.
