These are times that try democratic souls.
In Washington, excluded and facing an unbridled president who is looking for a sledge in parts of the federal government and a chain for others is the existential question for the party and its leaders, how – and how difficult – to defend itself.

But how can someone believe that Trump's ego is more than a loosely sitting association on bleeding democracy? Trump never admitted that he lost the election in 2020. His administration openly opposes court decisions. His advisors question the authority of the judiciary to check his powers.
Democrats should give up their normal routine to worry about whether they read the room correctly. You should stop acting in such a way that these are normal times and start to determine the course of American democracy in the coming months and years.
Otherwise, they send the message to the voters that Trump is a loud, disgusting, but essentially legitimate leader, who happens to lie on how to lower the price for eggs.
Barabak: I agree to everyone what they say about a clear and current danger. But much of what Trump does are things that he threatened, uh that promised while he ranks for re -hiring the White House.
And he won.
As unfortunate as I found it, the price of eggs, bacon and petrol seemed to be much more important for voters than to tolerate an uprising, for example, and to undermine confidence in our democracy by lying about the 2020 election.
The fact is that Trump is a president and will be an extraordinary development for the next four years. As a result, I fear a lot of pain and misery. I definitely hope that I am wrong.
I know that a lot of people like to take a finger in the face and tell me if I am.
Red: I hope you are wrong too. But all evidence suggests something else. And I don't think that Trump has won from many Americans on a platform to undermine democracy and the damage time, that Democrats have an obligation or a strategic imperative to stay still while he does this.
