Manchester United's co -owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has revealed that he would leave the club if he is subject to the same level of abuse as the Glazer family.
United fans have long opposed the Glazers and the pressure has recently increased with the team currently 14 and ready for their worst Premier League campaign.
Thousands of fans participated in protests against the Glazers before the game at the House of the Premier League against Arsenal in Old Trafford last weekend
'It is his debt, not ours' was one of the songs sung by the protesters. Other songs cited the recent price increased to £ 66 per ticket, with exploited Ratcliffe and the Glazer family, which has had United since 2004.
Ratcliffe, who bought a 27.7% participation in the club in February 2024, says that Americans have “retired in the shadows” since their arrival.
In an interview with the TimesThe British billionaire said: “Then, eventually, if it reached the extent to which the Glazer family has been abused, then I would have to say, look, enough are enough, let someone else do this.”
