Sir Rod Stewart has given two hilarious interviews before the creak of the Celtic Champions League with the Bayern Munich when the star admitted: “I have taken a couple of drinks.”

The legendary singer and 80-year-old composer made a surprise appearance in TNT Sports and CBS Sports before the first play-off stage of his beloved team in Celtic Park.

Stewart left Jamie Carragher's CBS panel, Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and presenter Kate Scott at stitches when she repeatedly told the stadium announcer who “shut up”, referred to Peter Schmeichel as 'Gordon Banks' and called Richards 'Big Knees'' of his nickname of 'Big Meeks'.

A hilarious moment arrived 90 seconds in the interview when Stewart asked Schmeichel how he was going after talking about being a Celtic fan.

“I've had a partner,” he told Schmeichel, who met CBS Studio laughs.

Stewart then joke: 'You better feel my air now. I'm embarrasing myself.
