Sky Bet to Mark Heart month 2025 with up to half a million pounds in donations to support the vital work of the British Heart Foundation

Sky Bet is marking Month of the heart – A national campaign to help maintain heartbeat throughout the United Kingdom, with a new donation of half a million pounds to support the vital work of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Up to £ 450,000 could go to the beneficial organization in the course of a month, since Sky Bet promises £ 1,000 for each goal scored in the 178 accessories in the EFL during February.

The commitment is part of the campaign every minute matters, which aims to raise £ 3 million for the beneficial organization about 2024-25 and encourage 270,000 people to learn RCP who save lives.

It has been a resounding success since its launch in May 2024, and the campaign inspired more than 160,000 people to start learning RCP in just eight months.

That is largely courtesy of the 'Re-Starting 11' initiative: a team full of soccer players and current and ancient professional fans, including Tom Lockyer, Graeme Souness, David Ginola, Glenn Hoddle, Fabrice Muamba, the County Defense From Derby, Megan Tensley and Wigan Athletic Striker Charlie Wyke.

In the last 8 months, this unique team has been sharing its own stories and personal experiences to overcome heart problems and survive cardiac arrests to help motivate the public to support the campaign.

In addition to the “February race” of the heart of the heart, Sky Bet has also committed more than £ 100,000 to finance 80 new community defibrillatory packages as part of an impulse to address the inequality of defibrillator in communities throughout the kingdom United.

The initiative, part of the long and long defibrillator BHF background, is designed to address the marked inequality in access to defibrillators in the United Kingdom. The BHF investigation that reveals the priority areas, including areas within Nottingham, Bristol, Greater Manchester and Wales, where more community defibrillators are needed.

Every minute, the ambassador and former manager of Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United, Leam Richardson, talked about the importance of the campaign.

“When Charlie Wyke collapsed in Wigan's training field in 2021, I experienced first hand how essential the rapid RC and defibrillation, and the training I received helped save Charlie's life,” he said.

'The campaign of every minute matters is transforming attitudes towards CPR, helping fans throughout the United Kingdom to understand that any person of any experience can learn CPR in just 15 minutes.

“This last phase of Sky Bet funds is incredible: I just hope that players from all over the EFL have their shooting boots in February and we can raise as much money as possible for the BHF.”

'It is important to highlight that the campaign is more than the awareness and learning of CPR, it is also about ensuring that communities have the same access to defibrillators that come out. At this time, the postal code in which a person lives can have an important impact on the possibility of a person to survive a cardiac arrest.

'That is why he would urge anyone to be part of a community group or organization to go to the BHF website and request a funded community defibrillator package: it could make a difference and potentially save a life '.
