F1 legend Martin Brundle has hit out at X owner Elon Musk for being a “meddling prick”.
Brundle, who competed in F1 between 1984 and 1996, has become an integral part of Sky Sports' coverage in recent years, with his famous 'grid walk', where he interviews celebrities before the race, becoming a hit. among fans.
The 2024 F1 season concluded last month and Brundle has kept a low profile in recent weeks, but has returned to the spotlight by taking aim at Musk following his repeated attacks on Keir Starmer in recent days.
On X on Monday night, Brundle threatened to leave the platform, writing: “I am conflicted. I like Twitter/X and it has served F1, Sky, me and the people around me very well for a long time. But @elonmusk is a bastard who interferes daily worldwide and I feel the need to go somewhere else.”
After receiving responses from fans, Brundle returned with a follow-up post a couple of hours later that read, “I really enjoyed and appreciated the diversity of my last post, including the negativity.” That's what keeps you alive, motivated and in touch. I'll stick with Twatter/X and keep an open mind. Opinions are like noses: everyone has one and they all count.'

His comments come after Musk's repeated attacks on Keir Starmer in recent days.
Musk has criticized Starmer's handling of the grooming gang cases and has called for him to be replaced as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The billionaire launched a tirade against the UK prime minister and government on Friday focusing on historic crimes in which groups of British Asian men attacked teenage girls.
He criticized Sir Keir and Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips before backing a wild call for King Charles to unilaterally dissolve the government and call an election.
And he then accused Sir Keir, who was Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) between 2008 and 2013, of having allowed criminals to get away with their crimes.
“Starmer must go and must face charges for his complicity in the worst mass crime in the history of Britain (sic),” he said.
Keir responded to Musk without specifically mentioning him in an impassioned speech on Monday in which he defended his record as a DPP, insisting he had tackled the issue of child sexual exploitation “head-on” and condemning threats directed at Phillips.
“Jess Phillips doesn't need me or anyone else to speak on her behalf, but when far-right venom leads to serious threats to Jess Phillips and others, then, in my opinion, a line has been crossed,” Starmer said.
“I enjoy the push and pull of politics, the robust debate that we should have, but that should be based on facts and truths, not lies, not those who are so desperate for attention that they are willing to degrade themselves.” and his country.
'So this Government will continue the task of protecting victims, including child sexual abuse, providing mandatory reporting and speeding up prosecutions. But what I will not tolerate is this discussion, debate based on lies without denouncing them.
Brundle threatened to leave X after becoming angry at Musk's outbursts
After receiving responses from fans, Brundle announced that he will be staying with X for now.
'What I will not tolerate is politicians jumping on the bandwagon simply to get attention, when those politicians were in government for 14 long years, tweeting, talking, but doing nothing about it.
“Now they are so desperate for attention that they are amplifying what the far right is saying.”
Brundle also appears to have been angered by Musk's comments about X, but has done a U-turn by leaving the social media platform for now.
