Former Pittsburgh Steeler and Super Bowl X winner Mike Collier died on Sunday at the age of 71 in his house in Maryland.
According to an online obituary … Collier died in a local hospital in Hagerstown. No cause of death was provided for the cause of death.
After playing at Morgan State University in Baltimore College Ball, the Running Back was a selection of the 14th round of The Black and Gold in the NFL design from 1975. In his rookie season, he appeared in 14 regular season games and Rushed 124 yards and three touchdowns.
In the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl Matchup from Pittsburgh against the Dallas Cowboys, Collier played a key role in victory and brought back a free kick of 25 meters in Dallas Territory. It later set up the Field-Goal, which later gives the game … Pittsburgh his second championship in a row.
