Stephen A. Smith has admitted that he feels like a “damn fool” for supporting Kamala Harris in the recent presidential elections.
The former Vice President was defeated by Donald Trump in November after replacing Joe Biden as Democratic candidate.
Harris did not face any competition on the way to receive the nomination, four years after a disastrous campaign that saw her leave the 2020 career before the Iawa Caucus.
During an appearance in Real Time with Bill Maher, Smith surprised fans with a blunt verdict about why Trump obtained a second mandate in the White House.
The ESPN star, who had previously hinted at a possible candidacy for the presidency, revealed how he really feels having cast his vote for Harris.
“Kamala Harris, who did not resonate during the 2020 primaries, could not even reach Iowa, suddenly she is the Democratic candidate,” she said.

The ESPN star offered its brutal vision during an appearance in 'Real Time with Bill Maher'.
“Then you arrive at the Convention in Chicago and everyone says:” It's a rock star! “So it's:” How was that? “
Smith added: “Yes, I voted for her, many people voted for her, but in the end we ended up feeling like damn dumb.”
'Because we support it, we fell in love with “Okiedake,” as they say. If there had been primary elections, it is most likely that she would not have been the Democratic candidate. “
Smith made a name in the sports media, but he has become more vowel on political matters since Trump won the elections in November.
During his appearance on Maher's program, he rebuked the Democrats after their humiliation at the polls.
'The man (Trump) was accused twice, was convicted of 34 serious crimes and the American people still said “they are closer to the normality of what we see on the left.”
'Because? Because when talking about the transgender community, for example, and there is talk of issues that belong to less than one percent of the population, the Democratic Party gave the impression that this was more a priority than other issues.
“Then, when the first week appears in the Capitol, he says: 'This is what we are going to do through an executive order', although it will be rejected in court,” said Smith.
Donald Trump flew to Los Angeles on Friday after officially returning to the White House.
But he is saying: “I fulfilled my promise.” Then you turn and look to the left and say “What promises did you comply?”
'What voter can look at the Democratic Party and say: “There is a voice for us, someone who speaks for us, who goes up to the Capitol and frees the struggles we want to fight in our name.”
'They did not do that and that is why their butts are at home, and that man is back in the White House. He is doing what he said he was going to do.
“He promised that he was going to do these things and came to office and that is exactly what he is doing.”
