Golf influencer Hailey Ostrom opened up about a scary situation in which a stalker showed up at her home.
Ostrom is a professional golfer who has also amassed 927,000 followers by posting glamorous golf content on her Instagram page and another 586,600 on TikTok.
However, the 30-year-old also experienced the downside of fame after going through a stalker ordeal.
Ostrom took to Instagram to share a video with his thousands of followers in which he detailed the terrifying situation.
Ostrom explained that a man had initially shown up at a golf course she regularly frequents looking for her. The club contacted Ostrom to inform her, but she did not recognize his name and ruled him out as a fan.
However, the situation worsened on Friday night when the individual showed up at his house, after having “abused his job” to obtain his address.

“It was a very scary situation for me and something like this had never happened to me before,” Ostrom told her followers.
She sent a message to her parents to call the police before the man eventually left of his own volition without making any threats.
It was later discovered that he had been the victim of a scam. He had been messaging a fake profile posing as Ostrom, who had asked him to send $50,000 before hiding it.
The man was left furious after the account stopped sending messages, prompting him to track down Ostrom, who he believed he had been communicating with.
“As you can imagine, I don't know their intentions and because of some of the situations I've had in my past with some followers, I was very skeptical and scared and wasn't going to take any chances,” Ostrom added.
Ostrom said she has repeatedly reported “hundreds” of fake accounts impersonating her on Instagram and TikTok, but warned her fans because she claimed the platforms had done little to prevent the problem.
He warned his followers about possible scams, insisting that he would never message his fans from other accounts or ask them for money.
“I never want to be afraid or feel like my privacy has been taken away from me ever again,” she continued. 'That's why I'm taking the necessary precautions to make sure I'm even safer in my own home.

“I really appreciate all my followers respecting my privacy and not doing anything crazy like that.”
Ostrom received countless messages of support in her comments section, including a response from fellow golf influencer Paige Spiranac.
“I don't know how many restraining orders or events like this have to happen before platforms start taking this seriously,” Spiranac wrote.
Spiranac and Ostrom even got into a virtual fight when they had a very public online argument about Tiger Woods.
The dispute resulted in Spiranac, golf's biggest influencer with four million followers, blocking Ostrom. However, it seems like the couple has since cleared the air.
Ostrom, who is married to Olympic snowboarder Louie Vito, turned professional in 2018 and previously played on the Cactus Tour.
