Five people were shot at an adult education center in Sweden on Tuesday, police said. The conditions of the victims were not clear immediately.
The Swedish news agency TT reported, without providing its sources, that the author died from suicide. The Police did not immediately confirm that the reports, but had to hold a press conference.
The Adult Education Center is located on the outskirts of the city of Obebro, which is located about 200 kilometers (125 miles) west Stockholm.
The school, called Risbergska Campus, serves students who are over 20 years old, according to their website. Courses of primary and superior secondary schools are offered, as well as Swedish classes for immigrants, vocational training and programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
Violence broke out on Tuesday after many students went home after a national exam. Police vehicles and ambulances, the lights flash, covered the parking lots and the streets around the school when a helicopter buzzed above.
The teacher Lena Warenmark told SVT News that there were unusually few students on the campus on Tuesday afternoon because many went home after the exam. He also told the station that he probably heard 10 shots.

Andreas Sundling, 28, was one of those forced to barrica inside the school.

It was not clear immediately if the police were telling the author among the five shots. Police said they were not shot at the officers during violence.
