Work done for England. A bonus point victory over Italy was absolutely required and that was delivered. More importantly, after a turgid victory over Scotland, Twickenham wanted to see entertainment.
And the English crowd he got it. A great good with Steve Borthwick and his players because this was more similar to England. It was a game where performance and the result joined.
In the victories about France and Scotland, England came out at the top. And, ultimately, that's what International Rugby is about. But in an ideal world, you want to play well and win, which is what England did on Sunday.
Then, in general, I was very satisfied with what I saw.
Upon entering 'Super Saturday' and the last weekend of the six nations, England has the opportunity of the title. Yes, it is a small opportunity. All signs point to France winning the crown.
But the fact that England is in dispute is a sign of its progress in this year's championship.

England defeated Italy 47-24 on Sunday in his penultimate game of the six nations 2025

Ben Earl (Center) scored one of England's seven attempts in an entertaining victory on Twickenham
There was one thing that frustrated me about the performance in English. Did the team really pursue the necessary attempts to remain in search of the crown of the six nations?
Of course, it will be a long possibility to catch France, who, for me, was so impressive in his hammer of Ireland in Dublin. But to do that, England needed to score 60 or more points. They were capable of that against Italy. And they can do it in Cardiff.
I would have liked to see a little more intention of attack. That is what the big teams do. They established an attempt target and are ruthless. That said, in general, there are many reasons for joy.
Tom Curry and Ollie Chesum were outstanding in La pack. The game preparation had been dominated by Borthwick's decision to leave Marcus Smith.
But, it is curious how things work because I was in the country almost instantly as a replacement for Ollie Lawrence. I really hope that Lawrence's injury is not so bad.
Unfortunately, it seemed that it could be bad. My wish is not to ruin the rest of his season with Bath and the perspective that he turns with the lions.
However, I fear the worst.
When Smith entered, I thought England seemed more attacker and Elliot Daly went well after changing the center. Smith was exposed a bit to the defensive and under the high ball. I should have done it better for Ross Vintcent's attempt. But we already knew that it is an improvised back that is good with the ball, although he is not an expert in that defensive position.

Italy's game only served to reinforce that. However, Smith did very well for his attempt. England won the game through a very strong third quarter. Between part time and the time of the time, they scored three attempts without response for 21 points.
Italy, despite all its effort and threat of attack, would never come back. It was a strange game to analyze in many ways, certainly from an Italian perspective.
The Azzurri have been the traditional boys of the championship. There is no doubt that they are no longer. On Sunday, they were incredibly competitive and obtained some good attempts. But in the end they still sent seven scores and just less than 50 points.
Italy, as I said, are competitive. But not for long enough and I think that is due to trust. They have to believe that they can remain in the fight for the full 80s.
One thing that really bothered me from Italy was the decision to take off to Ange Capuzzo with 10 minutes to the end. He was one of the best players in the field.
What was the coach thinking? That kind of thing drives me crazy. Italy is a good side. And the Juan Ignacio Brex and Tommaso Menoncello centers would enter England XV. There is hope to be built.
I have been happy with the progression of England in this competition and this performance was another step forward. All probability, they will not win the six nations. I hope that France sees Scotland to win the title and even if they do not, Ireland will go down to Italy in Rome.
What England has to do is be even more ruthless against Wales. They have to leave the hammer. It will not be easy. And Lawrence will be absent. But if England can end its six nations with four five -game victories, that would undoubtedly show that the team is on the right path.
