The Snooker star, Ricky Walden, was taken to the hospital after being forced to retire from German teachers through medical land.
Walden, 42, was ready to play Barry Hawkins in the last 16 of the tournament this morning, but the match was canceled after last minute health scare.
Since then it has been argued that Walden was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night.
The exact nature of the problem has not been publicly revealed.
A statement from the World Snooker tour said: “Ricky Walden has retired from the ongoing German teachers on medical land.”

Walden had defeated Ryan and Dylan Emery to reach the last 16 and the victory over Hawkins would have sealed his first appearance in the quarterfinals since 2023.
The three -time winner of the classification event, Walden, also impressed in the Championship League last week, registering victories about people like Xiao Guodong, Dave Gilbert, Zhou Yuelong, Noppon Saengkham and Joe O'Connor.
But his retirement in Berlin means that Hawkins will receive an automatic goodbye to the next round, where he will face Wu Yize or Alexander Usenbacher.

He said: 'I would like to have seen somehow grow, I think the tournament deserves to be bigger than it is. I do not believe that I must be on par (by awards) with some of the other events such as nations of origin, although Northern Ireland is the exception.
'I think Germany should be there, just behind the United Kingdom (championship), but in reality it has not gone anywhere, it is stagnant a bit. There should be some changes to make a little more than it is because the crowd deserves it.
'It is a bit disappointing because I feel that they could even celebrate the tour championship or something. The crowd deserves something bigger.
